Sports Injury_Ankle Sprain
14 years old female basket ball player came to seek for the help for her leg pain due to sports injury and she was in pain on her medial and posterior lower leg when she jumped or ran during the game and practice.
She has been suffering from the pain for 4 months. She went to see multiple therapists last four month but it only gave her temporary relief then her pain got right back. Her pain level before the treatment was 7-8 / 10 when we did body lifting test with each legs.
Tibialis posterior muscle is the key muscle and tendon that stabilizes your ankle and it is very common that young basket ball player injures their tibialis posterior muscle during their practice or playing games. Since it is located on the behind of Tibia bone, it is very hard to reach to treat but acupuncture is not only easy way to access this specific muscle but also very efficient way to treat this muscle combination with electro stimulation.
After her first treatment, her pain got reduce 80% at least.
